Jan 27, 2014 - Tucson Gem Show - Here we come!!!

Mon- Rolled out of camp at 10am and waved Quartzsite good bye. We are on the last leg of our drive to Tucson.

By 11:30am we past through Gila Bend, down I-8 through a large saquaro forest to Casa Grande and through Tucson itself; passing all the freeway hotels with the tents up and some already selling gems and rocks. Grant Inn, Howard Johnson, RiverPark Inn, Clarion, Days Inn, Pueblo Inn. Early days, but the excitement is building.
 Finally we get to our RV park where we check in and set up in our assigned spot. First thing J-Me does is clean the inside of the RV. First thing I do is hit the hot tub and swimming pool.

 Next, we bump into a friend who lives here in the park and teaches wire wrapping at the lapidary club here in the park. We start showing her our cabochons and the next thing we know she has a pile building for purchase. Way to go! Its going to be a good show, I can feel it.
